Privacy Policy for My Task List

Last updated: 23 August 2026

My Task List ("the app") is a shared task-list app for Android. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can have it removed. It is written to match what the app actually does today - update it if you change what data the app collects.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:

While you use the app, we store the content you create:

What we don't do

How your information is used

Your information is used solely to provide the app's functionality: showing your task lists, letting people you've invited see and edit shared lists, and sending you notifications about tasks assigned to you or due soon.

Where your information is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore for your lists and tasks, Firebase Authentication for your sign-in, Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications) - Google acts as our infrastructure provider under its own privacy policy and standard Firebase data processing terms.

Sharing with other users

If you make a list "shared" and invite someone by email, that person can see and edit everything in that list, including tasks assigned to you. Your name, email, and photo are visible to anyone you share a list with, and to anyone who shares a list with you.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual tasks or entire lists at any time from within the app. To delete your account and all associated data entirely, open the app's Profile screen and tap "Delete my account" - see Delete Your Account for what that deletes and how to request the same thing without the app installed.

Children's privacy

My Task List is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change what data the app collects or how it's used, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
